Toyota Champions Community Engagement At 2025 Pro Bowl Games And Super Bowl LIX Through Football Initiatives

Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) is set to deliver a series of engaging experiences at the 2025 Pro Bowl Games in Orlando and Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans. As the "Official Automotive Partner of the NFL," Toyota aims to celebrate various levels of stardom, from youth players to NFL stars, while highlighting community heroes.

Michael Tripp, group vice president of Toyota division marketing, stated, "Our partnership with the NFL demonstrates our focus on supporting the next generation of football players, from youth leagues, high schools, HBCUs, to current NFL players." This collaboration builds on Toyota’s long-standing grassroots involvement in football.

Toyota is sponsoring the inaugural HBCU flag football tournament at this year's Pro Bowl Games in Orlando. The event will run from January 30 to February 1 and feature over 250 athletes from HBCU flag football programs nationwide. Participants will receive star treatment akin to that given to top NFL players.

Tripp added, "Our support of NFL FLAG offers opportunities for people of all ages to enjoy football’s countless emotional and physical benefits. We saw this as a way to connect our long-standing support for HBCUs with our wider commitment to all flag players nationwide."

On February 4, Toyota will host unique flag football games in New Orleans' 18th Ward. Youth players will compete under black lights wearing UV-reactive gear for a glow-in-the-dark experience. This initiative addresses low sports participation among local children due to financial barriers.

The event will conclude with Toyota installing permanent lights at the 18th Ward Field. This aims to create a lasting venue for community sports beyond Super Bowl LIX. Surprise appearances by NFL stars will support this effort.

Super Bowl Experience with AR Technology

From February 5-8, fans can experience augmented reality (AR) scenes at the Super Bowl Experience. Inside Toyota's 2025 Sequoia and Land Cruiser models, fans can simulate driving alongside NFL stars like Brock Purdy and Eli Manning. This interactive feature allows fans to feel like they are sharing a ride with their favourite athletes.

Dedra DeLilli, vice president of marketing communications at Toyota Motor North America, explained, "We designed this experience to allow fans to imagine themselves arriving at the peak of stardom." The AR technology enhances fan engagement through gameday-inspired vignettes.

NFL Honors and Community Impact

The "NFL FLAG Players of the Year Award Presented by Toyota" will honour two outstanding athletes during the NFL Honors on February 6. These individuals exemplify dedication both on and off the field. They will also attend Super Bowl LIX as guests of Toyota.

Toyota supports NFL FLAG by empowering 750,000 youth athletes across 1,800 local leagues in the U.S., promoting non-contact football through its extensive dealer network.

Toyota's Broader Involvement

Toyota's involvement extends beyond these events. The company sponsors eleven NFL teams regionally through its dealer associations. Local activations are driven by over 1,200 dealers across the U.S., aligning with Toyota's mission to foster future superstars using football as a unifying force.

The new members of Toyota's vehicle family include models like the 2025 Tacoma TRD Pro Hybrid and Tailgate Tundra. These vehicles are integrated into each activation event as part of their broader strategy.

Toyota has been part of North America's cultural landscape for nearly seven decades. Committed to sustainable mobility through its brands and dealerships, it employs around 64,000 people who have contributed significantly to automotive design and manufacturing.
