Toyota Introduces The All-New 2026 BZ Woodland Electric SUV With Advanced Features
The 2026 Toyota bZ Woodland is a new addition to Toyota's Battery-Electric Vehicle (BEV) lineup, featuring all-wheel drive and a combined system output of 375 horsepower. It offers an estimated all-electric driving range of up to 260 miles. The vehicle is equipped with a North American Charging System (NACS) port, allowing access to numerous DC fast charging stations and includes Plug & Charge capability for convenience.
With its rugged design, the bZ Woodland stands out in the BEV lineup. It features a distinctive hammerhead front end with full-width LEDs and wide black overfenders. The vehicle's profile is enhanced by nearly six inches of additional length and just under one inch of extra height at the rear, providing over 30 cubic feet of cargo space.
The bZ Woodland comes with standard all-wheel drive and X-MODE, offering a towing capacity of 3,500 pounds. This system allows drivers to select modes based on road conditions, optimizing brake control and power delivery for better traction. Grip-Control enhances off-road performance by maintaining constant speed on rough surfaces.
Inside, the bZ Woodland offers a spacious cabin thanks to its BEV-dedicated e-TNGA platform. A Multi Information Display screen provides key information like speed and charging status. The interior features SofTex-trimmed seats that are heated for both driver and front passenger, with power adjustability for the driver.
The bZ Woodland is equipped with a 74.7-kWh lithium-ion battery compatible with Level Three DC fast-charging. Under ideal conditions, it can charge from 10% to 80% in about 30 minutes using DC fast charging. A pre-conditioning function optimizes battery temperature for faster charging in colder climates.
The vehicle also supports Level One and Level Two AC charging with an 11-kW on-board AC charger. Steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters allow drivers to adjust regenerative braking force, capturing additional energy for the battery.
Interior Features
The bZ Woodland includes a 14-inch touchscreen running Toyota Audio Multimedia system designed by Toyota’s Texas-based Connected Technologies team. Standard features include dual Bluetooth phone connectivity and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
A Premium Package adds JBL Premium Audio, ventilated front seats, panoramic moonroof, and more. Exterior paint options reflect its outdoor spirit with colours like Stepping Stone, Halo, Steel, Pavement, Raven Black, and Trueno Blue.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard on the bZ Woodland, offering features like Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection and Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control. Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist helps maintain lane position while Road Sign Assist recognises specific road signs.
The Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert uses radar sensors to assist in lane changes and backing up safely. The Panoramic View Monitor provides multiple angles around the vehicle for enhanced visibility during parking or off-road driving.
Connected Technology
The bZ Woodland offers various connected services through trials like Drive Connect for voice-activated commands via Intelligent Assistant. Cloud Navigation provides real-time map updates while Destination Assist offers live agent help for finding destinations.
Remote Connect allows users to control climate settings remotely or schedule timers for daily routines. The Toyota Digital Key feature lets smartphones replace physical keys for locking or unlocking the vehicle easily through the app.
Warranty Details
Toyota's warranty covers the bZ Woodland comprehensively: a basic new-vehicle warranty lasts 36 months or 36,000 miles; powertrain coverage extends to five years or 60,000 miles; corrosion protection has no mileage limit; electric components are covered for eight years or 100,000 miles.
ToyotaCare provides factory-scheduled maintenance for two years or 25,000 miles along with three years of roadside assistance regardless of mileage. This ensures peace of mind for owners as they enjoy their new electric SUV experience from Toyota’s expanding electrified lineup.
