Top 5 SUVs Showcased At The Auto Expo 2025: E Vitara To VF 3

India's largest automotive event, the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, commenced on January 17, 2025. This expo showcased the latest vehicles, significant launches, and innovative concepts. Prominent Indian car manufacturers like Hyundai, Maruti Suzuki, Toyota, Skoda, and MG presented their all-electric models. Tata and Mahindra also displayed their recent offerings. Additionally, luxury brands such as Mini, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Porsche showcased their high-end models.

Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara

Maruti Suzuki's e-Vitara was a highlight at the 2025 Auto Expo. The India-specific model features a front-wheel drive system with two battery options: 49 kWh and 61 kWh. Both its exterior and interior mirror the global version. The smaller battery pairs with a 144 PS/192.5 Nm motor, while the larger one connects to a 174 PS/192.5 Nm motor. Maruti claims the e-Vitara offers over 500 km of range.

Hyundai Creta Electric

Hyundai introduced the Creta Electric at the expo with prices ranging from Rs 17.99 lakh to Rs 23.50 lakh (ex-showroom). It boasts a range of up to 473 km and offers two powertrain choices. Available in four variants—Executive, Smart, Premium, and Excellence—the Creta Electric includes features like ADAS, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, dual 10.25-inch screens, and a 360-degree camera.

Tata Harrier Bandipur Edition & Harrier EV

Tata Motors unveiled three versions of the Harrier SUV: the Bandipur Edition and both regular and stealth versions of the Harrier EV. The Bandipur Edition pays homage to Karnataka's Bandipur National Park with its unique metallic bronze exterior. It shares features and engine options with the standard model. The production-spec Harrier EV will have an all-wheel drive system capable of producing 500 Nm torque.

The Harrier EV Stealth Edition is expected to feature an all-black interior paired with a matte black exterior. Its powertrain is anticipated to be similar to that of the regular Harrier EV.

Tata Sierra

Tata Motors showcased the Sierra SUV at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 and attracted a lot of attention from the media and general public. The ICE version of the Tata Sierra will come with both petrol and diesel powertrain options. Furthermore, we expect the model to priced at around Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom).

VinFast VF3

VinFast introduced its VF3 EV at the Bharat Mobility Expo in 2025—a compact two-door electric SUV characterized by its boxy design enhanced by durable plastic cladding for rugged appeal. It comes equipped with front power windows alongside manual air conditioning controls, complemented by a modern infotainment experience via its integrated ten-inch screen display. This vehicle delivers an estimated range of approximately 215 km powered by an electric motor generating 41 PS coupled with 110 Nm torque output.
