Top 5 Sub-4m SUVs With Highest GST Price Cuts (Petrol)
For the majority of consumers, the reduction in GST rates has come as a huge relief, especially during the festive season. To capitalise on the sales push, carmakers are already reporting bumper sales on the very first day of the new GST rates, and customers stand to maximize their savings by choosing cars that have witnessed the steepest price cuts. That said, here are 5 SUVs under 4 metres that offer biggest price cuts post GST 2.0.
Hyundai Venue
One of the most popular sub-4-metre SUVs in India, the Hyundai Venue, has become even more attractive after the GST reduction. The base variant is now priced at Rs 7.26 lakh, with a price drop of Rs 67,719. The biggest benefit, however, is seen on the top-end SX(O) Turbo DCT variant, where savings touch Rs 1.24 lakh. In August, the Venue ranked fifth in the list of best-selling sub-compact SUVs, securing a 9.41% market share.

Maruti S-Presso
Maruti's quirky micro-SUV, the S-Presso, has also seen significant price cuts. Post-GST, it now starts at just Rs 3.50 lakh. Most variants have registered a reduction in the range of 9.22% to 9.49% in percentage terms, translating to savings of up to Rs 1.30 lakh. While the model currently contributes about 1% to Maruti's overall sales, the revised pricing is expected to give it a sales boost in the coming months. At Rs 3.5 lakh, the Maruti S-Presso is also the most affordable model on this list.

Kia Sonet
The Kia Sonet, another strong contender in the sub-compact SUV space, has received GST benefits of up to Rs 1.35 lakh. The SUV now starts at Rs 7.30 lakh, with the most notable reductions on the 1.0-litre petrol DCT variants. The top-spec X Line DCT variant has seen the steepest drop, making it a strong value proposition for buyers. In August, the Sonet ranked sixth among sub-compact SUVs, holding a market share close to 9%.

Mahindra XUV 3XO
Mahindra has been quick to announce that it is passing the full GST benefits on to its customers, and the XUV 3XO is proof of that. Petrol variants of the SUV have become cheaper by Rs 70,600 to Rs 1,39,600, with the AX7L variant seeing the maximum price reduction. Thanks to the new pricing, the XUV 3XO, which currently holds a 6-7% share in the sub-compact SUV segment, is expected to attract a fresh wave of buyers.

Kia Syros
Topping the list of savings is the Kia Syros, with petrol variants witnessing price drops of up to Rs 1.50 lakh. The SUV now starts at Rs 8.67 lakh, compared to Rs 9.50 lakh earlier. The biggest cut is on the HTX Plus (O) variant, which has fallen from Rs 16.79 lakh to Rs 15.29 lakh. With such aggressive pricing, the Syros becomes an even more compelling choice for customers in the mid-size SUV space.
