1. Maruti Suzuki Wagon R
The Maruti Suzuki Wagon R tallboy hatchback topped the sales charts in H1 2025. Maruti Suzuki shipped out 101,424 units of the Wagon R in the first half of 2025. Sales of the Wagon R rose by 2% (1,756 units) compared to the first half of 2024, allowing it to jump to the top spot on H1 2025's sales charts.
2. Hyundai Creta
India's most popular SUV was the only other car to cross the 1 lakh mark in H1 2025, with 100,560 units shipped to dealerships. Sales of the Hyundai Creta rose by 10% (9,212) units compared to H1 2024's 91,348 units, allowing it to jump 3 places on the sales charts to the second rank for H1 2025.
3. Maruti Suzuki Dzire
The Maruti Suzuki Dzire compact sedan secured third place in H1 2025 with 96,101 units shipped to dealerships. Sales of the Dzire rose by 2% (2,290 units) compared to H1 2024's 93,811 units, allowing it to move up one place on the sales charts to the third rank for H1 2025.
4. Maruti Suzuki Brezza
The Maruti Suzuki Brezza sub-4-metre SUV took fourth place in H1 2025 with 93,729 units shipped to dealerships. Sales of the Brezza rose by 4% (3,576 units) compared to H1 2024's 90,153 units, allowing it to jump two places on the sales charts to the fourth rank for H1 2025.
5. Maruti Suzuki Swift
The Maruti Suzuki Swift hatchback climbed to fifth place in H1 2025 with 93,098 units shipped to dealerships. Sales of the Swift rose by 11% (8,926 units) compared to H1 2024's 84,172 units, climbing four places on the sales charts to the fifth rank for H1 2025.

7. Maruti Suzuki Fronx
The Maruti Suzuki Fronx soared to seventh place in H1 2025 with 88,066 units shipped to dealerships. Sales of the Fronx sub-4-metre SUV rose by 14% (11,069 units) compared to H1 2024's 76,997 units, allowing it to climb four places on the sales charts to the seventh rank for H1 2025.
8. Tata Nexon
The Tata Nexon SUV moved up to eighth place in H1 2025 with 87,267 units shipped to dealerships, making it the most popular Tata Motors car of H1 2025. Sales of the Nexon rose by 9% (6,941 units) compared to H1 2024's 80,326 units, allowing it to climb two places on the sales charts to the eighth rank for H1 2025.
9. Mahindra Scorpio
The Mahindra Scorpio SUV claimed ninth place in H1 2025 with 85,648 units shipped to dealerships. Sales of the Scorpio were nearly flat at with just 322 units more sold in H1 2025 compared to H1 2024's 85,326 units. This saw the Scorpio slipping one place on the sales charts to the ninth rank for H1 2025.
10. Tata Punch
The Tata Punch SUV dropped to tenth place in H1 2025 with 84,579 units shipped to dealerships. Sales of the Punch fell by 23% (25,729 units) compared to H1 2024's 110,308 units. This saw the Punch dropping nine places on the sales charts to the tenth rank for H1 2025.
