Tesla Begins Recruitment In India Following Discussions Between Prime Minister Modi & CEO Elon Musk
After discussions between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Tesla CEO Elon Musk in the U.S., Tesla has begun advertising numerous job openings in India. This move strongly suggests Tesla's intent to establish a presence in the country. The listings feature 13 different positions, such as Customer Support Executive, Order Processing Executive, Service Manager, and Sales Associate. Notably, several vacancies are available, including Service Technician and various consultant roles in Delhi and Mumbai.
The distribution of these job openings across India indicates Tesla's plan to establish a footprint in key metropolitan areas. Positions like Customer Engagement Manager and Delivery Operations Specialist are specifically for Mumbai, suggesting a targeted approach to penetrate the Indian market. India's high import tariffs have been a significant concern for Tesla, even as the country emerges as one of the fastest-growing electric vehicle markets globally.
