Tenth Škoda Student Car L&K 130 To Celebrate 130 Years Of Heritage At Unveiling Next Week
The unveiling of the tenth Škoda Student Car, named the Škoda L&K 130, is scheduled for 20 June. This unique vehicle pays homage to Škoda Auto's 130-year history and its founders, Václav Laurin and Václav Klement. The car's colour scheme draws inspiration from the original Laurin & Klement logo, featuring a blend of red, gold, and black.
The new Student Car incorporates elements that celebrate the legacy of Laurin and Klement. The design was chosen from various student submissions and mirrors the historic 1905 company logo. This elegant combination of colours enhances the modern design of the vehicle while nodding to its historical roots.
Inside, sustainable materials are used for seats, dashboard, door panels, and steering wheel upholstery. These choices reflect Škoda’s commitment to heritage while embracing modern sustainability practices.
This year marks a milestone as it is the tenth one-off creation by students at the Škoda Auto Secondary Vocational School of Engineering in Mladá Boleslav. To commemorate this achievement, all previous nine Student Cars will be displayed alongside the new L&K 130 during its official unveiling next week.
