Tata Sierra Teased Ahead Of 25 November Launch - A Legend Is Returning

The all-new Tata Sierra will make its Indian debut on 25 November 2025 and Tata Motors has released the first official teaser of the upcoming SUV. The video shows the vehicle in a signature yellow finish, with Sierra badging clearly visible on both front and rear.

The teaser reveals the Sierra's upright box-style silhouette, large rear window and rear-quarter glass panels-design cues that reference the original Sierra. Modern features seen include a full-width LED tail-light bar, flush door handles, gloss-black body cladding and dual-tone alloy wheels.

The ICE variant of the Tata Sierra is expected to be launched first, ahead of the electric version. The company is expected to debut its new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine in the SUV alongside the 1.5-litre diesel engine that is currently seen on the Curvv coupe-SUV.

Inside, the Sierra is expected to feature a unique three-screen dashboard layout-a first for Tata - consisting of a digital instrument cluster, central infotainment display and a passenger-side display. The cabin is anticipated to include ventilated front seats, panoramic sunroof and an ADAS Level-2 suite.

Earlier spy images also show the new Sierra in action, nearly undisguised, with details including dual-tone alloys, textured grille patterns and a tall bonnet line. These test units were spotted either being transported on the top of flat-bed trucks or driving around public roads.

Tata's upcoming Sierra will feature both ICE and EV variants, with the ICE version confirmed to come first. The electric version is slated to arrive later, and we expect Tata to price the EV just under the Harrier EV's pricing.

Details about the battery size, powertrain and range details are expected to be announced on the 25th of November. The Sierra will be positioned above the Curvv range and below the Harrier in Tata's SUV lineup, as the brand looks to target the growing 4.2-4.4-metre midsize SUV segment.

The launch of the Tata Sierra will see the return of the much-loved Sierra nameplate after quite a long period of time. While we know what it looks like, what powers the Sierra and how it performs on the road is something we'll be able to tell you once it launches and we get the chance to get into the driver's seat.
