Tata Sierra Launch Date Revealed - ICE Version To Arrive First, EV Later
Tata Motors has confirmed that the new Sierra will be launched on 25 November 2025, confirming the return of one of its famous nameplates after a few decades away from the market. The new Sierra will sit between the Curvv and Harrier in Tata's lineup.
.
Tata will offer the new Sierra with petrol, diesel and electric powertrains, with the petrol expected to introduce the company's new 1.5-litre turbo petrol direct-injection engine and the diesel likely carried over from the Curvv.

Details on the Sierra EV are still very limited. Tata has not disclosed full technical data for the Sierra EV, including battery capacity, motor output, range or charging standards, but we expect the Sierra EV to borrow powertrain options from the larger Harrier.
A near production-ready version of the Tata Sierra EV was showcased at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The styling of the new Tata Sierra references the original SUV from the early 1990s, with Tata retaining signature curved rear windows, pronounced wheel arches and a tall bonnet while updating proportions with a sharper roofline, shorter overhangs and an upright, slab-sided silhouette.

The Tata Sierra will ride on 19-inch wheels for certain trims, which gives it a more assertive stance. Other exterior lighting includes modern LED clusters, and the brand's current design language is clearly woven into the fascia and rear treatment.
Inside the Tata Sierra's cabin will be a triple-screen setup on the dashboard comprising a digital driver cluster, a central infotainment touchscreen and a passenger-side display. Other expected highlights of the Sierra's cabin include ventilated seats, ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof and a 360-degree camera system.

The Tata Sierra's safety setup is expected to be very comprehensive with six airbags, electronic stability control and Level-2 ADAS. The latter is expected to be featured across multiple variant levels across the Sierra range.
The ICE variants of the Tata Sierra are expected to be launched on November 25th, with the EV version expected to arrive a few months down the line. The Sierra will be positioned to broaden Tata's product portfolio above the Curvv and will be a more comprehensive rival to the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara and Victoris and the Toyota Hyryder.
