Tata Safari Stealth Edition Vs Dark Edition: Key Differences & Pricing

The Tata Safari Stealth Edition and Dark Edition both embrace a blacked-out aesthetic for their interiors and exteriors. However, they differ in several aspects. The Stealth Edition, launched earlier this month at ₹26.90 lakh (ex-showroom), is the first limited edition from Tata with only 2,700 units available. It marks the 27th anniversary of the Safari brand.

Exterior Differences: Gloss Vs Matte

While both editions feature a blacked-out front grille, bumper, and skid plate, the Dark Edition boasts a gloss black exterior finish. In contrast, the Stealth Edition opts for a matte black look. Both models have connected LED DRLs, headlights, and fog lamps that remain consistent across editions.

On the sides, these special editions sport body-coloured ORVMs and black door handles. They also carry unique 'Stealth' or 'Dark' badges on the fender and a fully black Safari nameplate. Both ride on 19-inch wheels; however, the Stealth Edition includes distinct detailing with a combination of black and brushed aluminium finishes.

Interior Features: Subtle Variations

Inside, both editions share many similarities but with minor differences. The Dark Edition incorporates chrome touches like door handles, whereas the Stealth Edition maintains an all-black interior theme. Both versions feature black leatherette upholstery for seats.

The features in the Stealth Edition are based on its top-spec trim since it is derived from the top-end model. This contrasts with the Dark Edition's availability across four different trim levels.

Pricing Details

The pricing for these special editions varies slightly. The Tata Safari Stealth Edition ranges from ₹26.90 lakh for its manual seven-seater version to ₹27 lakh for its automatic six-seater configuration (both ex-showroom). Meanwhile, the Dark Edition offers more flexibility with four trim levels available.

Both special editions share rear design elements such as a full black bumper and connected LED taillights. They also include a roof-mounted spoiler similar to standard Tata Safari models.

The pre-facelift Safari had multiple special editions; however, post-2023 update only two exist: Stealth and Dark Editions. These models continue to celebrate Tata's legacy while offering unique styling options for enthusiasts.
