Tata Harrier EV Receives 5-Star Safety Rating From Bharat NCAP

Tata Motors has consistently prioritised safety in its vehicles sold in India. The Tata Nexon was the first Indian car to receive a 5-star rating from Global NCAP. Continuing this legacy, the newly launched Harrier EV has achieved a 5-star rating from Bharat NCAP. This reinforces Tata's reputation for vehicular safety, as the Harrier EV excels in crashworthiness tests.

The Harrier EV is Tata's flagship electric SUV, designed on the acti.ev platform. Although it shares its exterior with the Harrier ICE, it is built as an electric vehicle from scratch. Bharat NCAP's stringent crash safety evaluations have tested the Harrier EV's ability to withstand impacts effectively.

Harrier EV Safety Features

The tested model was the Harrier EV Empowered 75 kWh and its AWD variant. This two-row SUV can accommodate up to five passengers and weighs 2,574 kg. The safety ratings apply to all variants of the Harrier EV, ensuring consistent protection across models.

All assessment points for front seat occupants showed 'Good' protection, indicated by green zones throughout.

Child Occupant Protection

It secured full marks in dynamic score (24/24) and CRS installation score (12/12), while achieving 9 out of 13 points in vehicle assessment score.
