Tata Harrier EV Fords The Mighty Beas River In Red Bull Stunt
Tata Motors has showcased the off-road ability of the Tata Harrier EV by driving the electric SUV across the Beas River in an extreme stunt executed in partnership with Red Bull India. The water fording demonstration was filmed as part of a new series highlighting the EV's capability beyond regular road use.
The stunt was led by Red Bull athlete Abdo "Dado" Feghali, a Lebanese motorsport professional known worldwide for drifting, precision driving and setting Guinness records. Feghali navigated the Harrier EV through fast-flowing water, uneven riverbed surfaces and slippery terrain to illustrate how the SUV maintains traction and power delivery in demanding conditions.
The Harrier EV is based on Tata's new generation EV architecture, using a dual-motor layout designed to support all-wheel-drive functionality. Tata Motors says this format provides strong instant torque and stable power distribution, elements the Beas River stunt was intended to demonstrate through real-world obstacles rather than controlled testing environments.
The collaboration with Red Bull India is part of a larger initiative to reframe the image of electric SUVs in the country. Tata Motors aims to prove that EVs are capable of tackling rugged terrain and adventure-focused activities, expanding their appeal beyond daily commuting and city-centric driving patterns.

The stunt is also positioned as the first entry in a planned series of extreme-terrain demonstrations featuring the Harrier EV. Red Bull's production team and Tata's engineering division are expected to coordinate across additional locations to test the SUV's off-road strength under varying natural conditions, including mud, rocks and water crossings.
Tata Motors has indicated that such demonstrations help validate the engineering behind the Harrier EV's platform while providing visible proof of concept for customers unfamiliar with EV behaviour off the road. The Beas River crossing was structured to highlight battery protection, chassis rigidity and waterproofing measures essential for electric vehicles operating in wet or unstable environments.
