Here Are Our Expectations About The Tata Altroz Facelift: Design, Features, Powertrain Changes & More
Tata Motors is preparing introduce the first update for its Altroz premium hatchback in India, and here are some expectations about the model.
Exterior Updates
Spy shots reveal that the Altroz retains its sleek silhouette, but the front fascia receives significant updates. A new headlight design reminiscent of the Indica Vista is expected, likely featuring LED lights within projector units. LED DRLs are anticipated to be integrated into the headlights rather than positioned in the fog lamp housing.

The side profile will feature new alloy wheel designs while retaining other elements from the current model. At the rear, expect a redesigned bumper and revised LED tail lights with a fresh signature look.
Interior Enhancements
Inside, the Altroz facelift is expected to maintain its current dashboard layout but with a 10.2-inch infotainment screen offering wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The steering wheel may feature an updated design with an illuminated logo, while climate controls could adopt Tata's newer touch and toggle system.
Additional features might include a 10.2-inch instrument screen, ventilated seats, a powered driver's seat, an auto-dimming IRVM, ADAS, six airbags as standard, an upgraded telematics suite, ambient lighting, and possibly a dual-pane panoramic sunroof.
Engine Options & Performance
The Altroz facelift is expected to retain its existing engine options: a 1.2L naturally-aspirated petrol engine and a 1.5L turbo diesel engine for the standard model, along with a 1.2L turbo petrol engine for the Altroz Racer variant. There is hope that Tata will offer a 6-speed DCT gearbox with both the Altroz Racer and diesel variants of the standard model.
DriveSpark Thinks
Overall, these updates aim to keep the Altroz competitive in India's premium hatchback segment by enhancing both aesthetics and functionality without altering its core appeal.
