Subaru Releases Seventh Annual Corporate Impact Report Emphasising Community Support And Environmental Action

Subaru of America, Inc. (SOA) has released its seventh annual Corporate Impact Report, showcasing its ongoing commitment to social responsibility. The report highlights Subaru's dedication to customers, employees, and communities. For the fifth year in a row, Subaru has been named one of America's most community-focused companies by Points of Light Civic 50. Additionally, Subaru is recognised as the top automotive brand on Forbes' Best Brands for Social Impact list for the second consecutive year.

Subaru's 2024 Corporate Impact Report outlines key achievements and initiatives. It emphasises Subaru's commitment to quality, safety, and an inclusive culture. The report also details Subaru's efforts to engage with national and local organisations to improve lives. In 2024, Subaru employees volunteered 15,590 hours for community projects nationwide. The Subaru Share the Love Event raised $31.7 million for charities, totalling $319.8 million since 2008. Additionally, $1,502,047 was donated to Camden-based organisations to support the local community. These efforts reflect Subaru's commitment to making a positive impact where it operates.

Subaru's Love Promise Partnerships have made significant contributions in various areas. Through Operation Warm events, more than 150,000 children received new coats and shoes. The partnership with The Arbor Day Foundation established the largest corporate tree distribution program in the U.S., while collaboration with The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society supported over 51,000 cancer patients with care kits.

Subaru continues its push for sustainability by using 970,000 pounds of recycled content in floor mats alone. This effort is part of a broader initiative that includes remanufacturing 51 million pounds of vehicle parts and saving 155,000 metric tons of CO₂ emissions. At its Camden headquarters, 4.3 tons of food waste were diverted from landfills through sustainable practices.

The company also focuses on employee engagement through programs like the Ignite Mentoring Program which matched 162 mentors and mentees this year. Additionally, 30% of employees participated in Employee Resource Groups designed to promote camaraderie and allyship among staff members.

Customer Satisfaction and Safety

Subaru ranked as the No. 1 brand overall in the 2024 American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI). This ranking reflects customer opinions on vehicle safety, product quality, perceived value, dependability, among other factors. All 2024 model year vehicles sold in the U.S. come equipped with EyeSight Driver Assist Technology as standard.
