Subaru of America, Inc. has partnered with Operation Warm to continue their Subaru Loves to Help initiative, aiming to assist over 130,000 children in need this season. The collaboration involves distributing new coats, shoes, and socks to children nationwide through events at homeless shelters and support agencies. Subaru's commitment as the largest automotive sponsor of Operation Warm highlights the importance of providing essential clothing for warmth and confidence.
By the end of this year's campaign, Subaru will have supported more than 900,000 individuals in urgent need through its historical efforts. Alan Bethke, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Subaru of America, Inc., stated: "Kids grow out of clothing about every six months, so for those in urgent need situations a coat and shoes that fit cannot be taken for granted. As part of our commitment to being ‘More Than a Car Company,’ we are working to make sure that these children feel strong, confident, and prepared for the day."
Operation Warm is a national nonprofit focused on providing warmth and hope to underserved children by connecting them with community resources. For over 25 years, they have empowered families through new coats and essential clothing items. Their mission extends beyond warmth; they aim to connect kids with resources needed for success. Grace Sica, Executive Director of Operation Warm, emphasized: "For many children around the country, coats, shoes, and socks provide much more than physical warmth; they’re a boost to the emotional well-being of the child and allow them to have the confidence to succeed in school."
This partnership marks the second consecutive year Subaru has teamed up with Operation Warm. The initiative ensures that children can choose their clothing from updated designs and colours reflecting current trends. This approach not only meets physical needs but also supports emotional well-being by instilling confidence.
