Subaru Motorsports USA Teams Achieve Podium Success At Oregon Trail Rally

Subaru Motorsports USA celebrated a successful Oregon Trail Rally with both teams on the podium. Brandon Semenuk and Keaton Williams secured first place overall and in the Open 4-Wheel Drive (O4WD) category. Meanwhile, Travis Pastrana and Rhianon Gelsomino achieved third overall and topped the Limited 4-Wheel Drive (L4WD) class, impressing in their second event with a new car.

The rally began at Portland International Raceway on Friday night. An incident caused delays, reducing the planned two stages to one. Despite this, fans created an energetic atmosphere. On Saturday, competitors faced high-speed gravel and rocky terrain, showcasing the rally's challenging nature. "Tricky, fast stages but really fun," said Semenuk about Saturday's racing.

Sunday's stages were described by Semenuk as "America's fastest." He and Williams delivered a strong performance, winning overall and strengthening their championship pursuit. "Great weekend!" Semenuk exclaimed after the rally. "Really happy with the car. Clean sweep on all the stages and a Power Stage win. Amazing."

Pastrana and Gelsomino participated in only their second event with the WRX ARA25L. Pastrana commented early on, "We're working our hardest to do the best we can and have a lot of fun with this vehicle." By the end of the rally, they had found their rhythm with the new car.

Pastrana expressed his enthusiasm: "Third overall, first in class," he reported excitedly. "This vehicle right here --" he said, gesturing to the WRX ARA25L, "-- absolutely awesome! So stoked to be able to drive it." Gelsomino shared his excitement: "Travis and I had a great event! We're pumped. We love this event and we can't wait for Ohio now! It's gonna be awesome."

The American Rally Association (ARA) schedule now moves east to the Southern Ohio Forest Rally from June 12-14. Semenuk and Williams aim for a fourth consecutive championship while Pastrana and Gelsomino continue improving in L4WD.
