Subaru's Forester And Legacy Win Awards In 2025 Best Cars For Teens Report
Subaru of America, Inc. has announced that two of its models have been recognised in the U.S. News & World Report Best Cars for Teens list. The 2025 Subaru Forester was named the Best New SUV priced between $35,000 and $40,000, while the 2021 Subaru Legacy was chosen as the Best Used Midsize Car for new teen drivers.
Jeff Walters, President and COO of Subaru of America, Inc., expressed pride in this recognition: "We are proud to have Forester and Legacy recognized by U.S. News & World Report as recommended cars for younger drivers. Value, reliability, and safety are fundamental to the SUVs and cars we offer to our customers, and we’re proud to be recognized again by U.S. News & World Report."

Both vehicles boast perfect five-star Overall Vehicle Scores from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Additionally, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety recently awarded the 2025 Subaru Forester a TOP SAFETY PICK designation. These accolades highlight their commitment to safety.
The Subaru EyeSight Driver Assist Technology is standard on both models. This includes features like Automatic Pre-Collision Braking and Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Centering. LED Steering Responsive Headlights are also standard, enhancing visibility during night driving.
Subaru vehicles come equipped with features that allow parents to monitor teen driving habits. These include alerts when the car exceeds a set speed or travels outside a designated area or time frame. Such features help parents discuss safe driving practices with their teens.
Additional active safety features available on these models include Blind Spot Detection with Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. Reverse Automatic Braking and the DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System further enhance safety.
