Subaru's BRZ, Crosstrek, And Outback Featured On Car And Driver's 2025 Editors' Choice List
Subaru of America, Inc. recently announced that three of its models have been included in the 2025 Editors’ Choice List by Car and Driver. The models are the Subaru BRZ, a lightweight sports car; the Subaru Crosstrek, a compact SUV; and the Subaru Outback, a station wagon. These vehicles were recognised as top picks in their respective categories.
Car and Driver's expert reviewers assess nearly 500 models across 45 market segments to determine award winners. They use rigorous testing methods and subjective evaluations to rate each vehicle's performance. The criteria include how well a vehicle meets its intended purpose and its ranking within its segment compared to competitors for the model year.
The 2025 BRZ was praised for its classic sports car design, featuring a lightweight build, low center of gravity, precise steering, and agile handling. It is powered by a responsive 2.4-liter SUBARU BOXER engine that delivers 228 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. The BRZ is available in Premium, Limited, and tS trims with prices starting at $31,210.
The 2025 Subaru Crosstrek was acknowledged for its updated exterior and interior designs, excellent ride quality, safety features, and infotainment technology. This third-generation model offers a competitive starting price of $25,810 and comes in Base, Premium, Sport, Limited, and Wilderness trims.

The Outback provides ample passenger space and cargo capacity along with standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive.
The Editors’ Choice List helps consumers navigate the new-car market by highlighting vehicles worth considering seriously. Car and Driver describes it as "the honor roll of the new-car world," aiding buyers in making informed decisions.
