Subaru Reveals Pricing For The 2026 Crosstrek And New Hybrid Model With Advanced Features
Subaru of America, Inc. has revealed the pricing for the 2026 Subaru Crosstrek, including the new Crosstrek Hybrid. This third-generation model offers a fresh hybrid system that enhances both range and capability. The Crosstrek lineup, known for its reliability, now includes more standard comfort and convenience features. All models come with Subaru's renowned Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, ensuring no compromise in performance.
The 2026 Crosstrek is available in several trims: Base, Premium, Sport, Sport Hybrid, Limited, Limited Hybrid, and Wilderness. The base trim now features an enhanced 2.5-liter SUBARU BOXER engine producing 180 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque. Previously, this engine was standard on higher trims like Premium and Sport.
The new Crosstrek Hybrid combines a 2.5-liter SUBARU BOXER engine with electric motors and a high-capacity lithium-ion battery. This setup delivers a combined output of 194 horsepower. The hybrid model integrates seamlessly into the existing architecture without losing any capability.
For added comfort, heated steering wheels are now standard on Crosstrek Limited and Wilderness trims. Additionally, the DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System is newly included in the Crosstrek Limited and Limited Hybrid models for 2026.
Every 2026 Subaru Crosstrek comes equipped with EyeSight Driver Assist Technology. This includes pre-collision braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control with lane centering. Models with blind-spot detection also feature automatic emergency steering to help avoid collisions at speeds below 50 mph.
The Lineartronic CVT provides smooth performance across all trim levels. Each model also boasts at least 8.7 inches of ground clearance and features like X-MODE Dual Mode System with Hill Descent Control.
Interior and Infotainment Upgrades
The interior of the 2026 Crosstrek includes dual-zone automatic climate control and dual 7-inch touchscreens for infotainment. These screens support Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth connectivity, SiriusXM with Travel Link, HD Radio, and more.
Additional interior features include power windows with auto up/down for front windows, keyless entry, a security system with engine immobilizer, USB ports in both front and rear consoles, and a tilt-and-telescoping steering column.
Trim-Specific Features
The Crosstrek Premium trim adds more convenience features starting at $27,995 MSRP. It includes an upgraded multimedia system with six speakers and wireless smartphone integration capabilities.
The Sport trim introduces unique styling elements such as yellow accents on various panels and larger alloy wheels for $30,625 MSRP. It also includes sport cloth upholstery with contrast stitching.
Wilderness Trim Highlights
The Wilderness trim is designed for adventure enthusiasts at $33,795 MSRP. It offers increased towing capacity of up to 3,500 pounds thanks to revised gearing and exclusive body cladding.
This model also features durable StarTex upholstery inside along with copper-colored stitching accents that set it apart from other trims.
Crosstrek Hybrid Variants
The Sport Hybrid variant starts at $33,995 MSRP while offering fuel efficiency through its next-gen hybrid powertrain alongside advanced safety technologies like blind-spot detection.
The Limited Hybrid combines luxury features found in gas-only versions but adds longer range capabilities due to its series-parallel hybrid setup priced at $34,995 MSRP.
Manufacturing Details
Crosstrek Hybrid models are assembled in Gunma Japan whereas other variants are produced at Subaru's Indiana facility known for zero-landfill practices making them environmentally friendly options within their segment globally recognized by National Wildlife Federation as backyard wildlife habitats too!
