2025 Skoda Superb Set To Launch In India With Diesel Engine & 4x4 Capabilities
Skoda Auto, a Czech car manufacturer, is renowned for its quality vehicles, especially in Europe. In India, Skoda has shifted its strategy by introducing affordable SUVs like the Kushaq and Kyaq. Alongside these, Skoda continues to launch premium cars. The next anticipated release is the 2025 Skoda Superb, a high-end model.
The Skoda Superb isn't new to India; it was discontinued in 2020 due to low sales, largely because of its high price. Now, after nearly five years, the Superb is set to return with a diesel engine and a robust 4x4 drive system. This suggests Skoda aims to attract adventure enthusiasts with this model.

Although Skoda hasn't officially confirmed the 4x4 drive system for the Superb, a test vehicle was recently spotted on public roads without camouflage. This sighting included "4x4" prominently displayed on the car's rear, indicating that this feature will be available in the new model.
A video of this test drive is accessible online, offering a glimpse of the 2025 Skoda Superb's design before its official unveiling. The absence of camouflage on the test vehicle provides a clear view of its exterior features.
DriveSpark commented on Skoda's unexpected move to equip the Superb with a 4x4 system, altering its previous image as a luxury sedan. Historically, the Skoda Superb hasn't captured a large market share in India. It remains uncertain if this new strategy will alter its market position.
The introduction of the 2025 Skoda Superb with these enhancements marks an intriguing shift in Skoda's approach. By targeting adventure seekers with off-road capabilities, Skoda may broaden its appeal in the Indian market.
The upcoming launch of the 2025 Skoda Superb signifies a strategic move by Skoda to re-enter the Indian market with a refreshed offering. Whether this will lead to increased popularity for the Superb remains to be seen.
