2025 Skoda Octavia RS India Launch Date Confirmed - Bookings Start On October 6
Skoda Auto India has confirmed that the Octavia RS will have its official India price reveal on October 17, 2025. Alongside this announcement, the company has detailed booking dates, delivery timelines, and the limited allocation figures for the performance sedan.
Bookings for the Skoda Octavia RS will open on October 6, 2025. Reservations will be processed exclusively through Skoda's online booking platform. The allocation of the Skoda Octavia RS for India is restricted to 100 units. Deliveries of the Skoda Octavia RS in India will begin on November 6, 2025.
The India-spec Skoda Octavia RS is set to be the same as the version sold in the UK. The Octavia RS is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that develops 265hp and 370Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that sends power to the front wheels.
Performance figures released by Skoda indicate that the Skoda Octavia RS achieves 0-100km/h in 6.4 seconds. The manufacturer states that the sedan's top speed is electronically limited to 250km/h. These specifications match those of the European-market version of the car.
However, there is one big difference between the Octavia RS sold abroad and the one meant for the Indian-market. The India-spec Skoda Octavia RS will not include Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC), which allows adjustable suspension damping, steering calibration, and transmission response.
Pricing for the Skoda Octavia RS has not yet been announced. However, we expect it to be somewhere around the Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom), which will pit it directly against the new Volkswagen Golf GTI.
