Skoda Octavia RS Bookings Opened In India: Just 100 Units Available!
Skoda has officially opened bookings for the much-anticipated Octavia RS in India, and interested people can book the model by paying a token amount of Rs 2.5 lakh. Known for its razor-sharp dynamics, strong engine, and understated yet sporty design, the Octavia RS continues to hold a cult following among enthusiasts.
That said, the upcoming model will be quite exclusive, with only a limited number of units available for India and here are top 5 things you need to know about it.

Built on MQB Evo platform as the VW Golf GTI
The new Skoda Octavia RS is built on the same MQB Evo platform as the Volkswagen Golf GTI and features a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch DSG gearbox.
The motor produces 261bhp and 370Nm of torque, making it the most powerful iteration of the Octavia to be sold in India. The car sprints from 0 to 100kmph in just 6.4 seconds, while the top speed is electronically limited to 250kmph.
Design and Styling Enhancements
Compared to the standard Octavia, the RS version flaunts a more assertive and athletic look. Skoda has added gloss-black accents across the body, including the front grille, mirror caps, and exhaust tips. The bumpers feature larger air intakes for improved cooling, while the honeycomb mesh grille adds a distinct RS identity. The side profile is elevated by sportier alloy wheels, and the signature 'RS' badge proudly sits on the rear, reinforcing its performance credentials.
Interior and Features
The cabin of the Octavia RS has been designed with the driver in mind. Sport seats with contrast stitching offer superior lateral support during spirited driving. A flat-bottom steering wheel, metal pedals, and a fully digital instrument cluster enhance the sporty ambiance. The centre console houses a large touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Every element of the interior reflects Skoda's commitment to combining everyday usability with an engaging driving experience.
Safety and Technology
Safety remains a priority in the Octavia RS. The car is equipped with multiple airbags, ABS, EBD, traction control, and stability control. Skoda has also packed the sedan with advanced driver-assistance systems such as fatigue detection, automatic parking, and even remote parking features, ensuring peace of mind alongside performance.
Limited to 100 Units
Exclusivity is part of the Octavia RS allure, and this time, Skoda is taking it up a notch. Only 100 units of the performance sedan will be allocated for the Indian market. This limited-run approach ensures that the new Octavia RS remains a collector's item - a true enthusiast's car that blends European engineering finesse with everyday practicality and thrilling performance.
