Skoda Kushaq Facelift Launch in 2026? Here’s What We Know So Far
Skoda is gearing up to launch the facelifted Kushaq in India, with its debut expected in early 2026. The updated model will feature a refreshed aesthetic and enhanced design elements over the current version. Similarly, Volkswagen is also expected to launch its facelift by mid-2026.
The Kushaq compact SUV was launched in 2021 as part of their 2.0 project. The mid-size German-engineered compact SUV delivers excellent handling, safety and comfort, making it one of the best compact SUVs in the indian market.

This facelift vehicle was spotted on numerous occasions across India. Upon seeing these test vehicles, we could expect an updated exterior with a new front and rear design. It is also anticipated to come with a newly designed headlight, taillights, bumpers, grille and alloy wheels.
The interiors could also be updated with new leather upholstery, a redesigned steering wheel and a new dashboard design. Additionally, it could also feature a new panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera system, an infotainment system and driver's display, premium speakers and audio. Comfort features such as the Ventilated front seats will continue to be offered in the facelift version.
The Kushaq facelift is expected to offer ADAS safety features, making it the first German mass-market car in India to provide this technology. Skoda is well-known for its strong build quality and safety standards, with the current Kushaq already scoring a 5-star Global NCAP rating. The facelift model is also likely to come equipped with six airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, ESP, hill-hold assist, TPMS, and 3-point seat belts.
The Powertrain features are likely to remain the same. It will have two powertrain options: a 1.0 Litre TSI petrol engine that produces 115 PS of power and 178 NM of torque, and a 1.5 Litre TSI that produces 150 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque. The transmission options include a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed torque converter and a 7-speed DSG automatic.
The current generation Skoda Kushaq prices start from 10.89 lakhs (ex-showroom) and reach up to 18.79 lakhs (ex-showroom). We expect the facelift to be priced around 11.50 lakhs (ex-showroom) as it carries more features and updates. It rivals the Hyundai Creta, Volkswagen Taigun, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Brezza and the newly launched Tata Sierra.
