Škoda Auto India has achieved a groundbreaking milestone with its Škoda Kodiaq, marking it as the first petrol SUV from India to successfully reach the North Face Base Camp of Mount Everest. This achievement not only highlights the vehicle's robust engineering and capability but has also been officially validated by the India Book of Records and the Asia Book of Records, underscoring its significance and the notable challenge it represents.

The Škoda Kodiaq’s journey to the Mount Everest North Face Base Camp was a testament to endurance and performance. Covering a distance of over 6,000 kilometres across India, Nepal, and China, the vehicle braved extreme weather conditions, including sub-zero temperatures and rugged terrain, showcasing the reliability and advanced technology Škoda vehicles are known for. This expedition underlines the strength and efficiency of the Kodiaq, integrating European design with real-world capability.
In addition to setting records with its Everest Base Camp expedition, Škoda Auto India has also witnessed significant growth in its sales and customer outreach. In the first half of 2025, the company reported a record-breaking sales figure of 36,194 units, which is a surge of 134% compared to the first half of 2024.
