Skoda Unveils Enyaq VRS And Coupé VRS: Fastest Models In The Range
The Enyaq vRS and Enyaq Coupé vRS are Škoda's fastest production models, alongside the Elroq vRS. These vehicles feature two motors providing all-wheel drive and a combined output of 340 PS, accelerating from 0 to 62 mph in just 5.4 seconds. The Enyaq vRS SUV is priced at £51,660 OTR, with orders starting on 12 June.
Škoda Auto is showcasing the new Enyaq vRS models at the 2025 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship in Sweden and Denmark. Both cars will be displayed during the event's opening games, where the Czech Republic faces Switzerland in Herning, Denmark, and Austria meets Finland in Stockholm. Škoda has been the main sponsor of this championship since 1993.
The Enyaq vRS models boast impressive performance with a top speed of 111 mph. They support fast charging up to 185 kW, allowing the high-voltage battery to charge from 10% to 80% in just 26 minutes at a DC station. The electric range exceeds 340 miles on the WLTP cycle for both models.
Standard equipment includes LED Matrix beam headlights and electrically adjustable front seats with memory and massage functions. Exclusive alloy wheels up to 21 inches enhance their sporty appearance. The sport chassis lowers the front axle by 15 mm and the rear by 10 mm for improved agility.
The Enyaq vRS models feature Škoda's Modern Solid design language with high-gloss black accents. The Tech-Deck Face houses essential sensors like radar, while LED Matrix beam headlights offer a distinctive look. Black-painted details sharpen their exterior design, complemented by exclusive alloy wheels.
Inside, two Design Selections are available: vRS Suite and vRS Lounge. The standard vRS Suite includes leather upholstery with grey stitching, while the optional vRS Lounge features microsuede seat covers with lime green stitching. A heated sports steering wheel adds to the dynamic interior appeal.
Advanced Technology and Safety Systems
The new Enyaq vRS models come equipped with a Digital Cockpit and a large infotainment display as standard. They also include a head-up display with Augmented Reality and a CANTON sound system with twelve speakers. Numerous Simply Clever features like USB-C ports and wireless phone charging enhance convenience.
Safety is prioritised with intelligent systems such as Travel Assist, which combines Adaptive Lane Assist, Predictive Adaptive Cruise Control, Traffic Jam Assist, Emergency Assist, and Side Assist. Remote Park Assist allows parking via smartphone control using the MyŠkoda app.
Legacy of Sporty Models
The Enyaq vRS continues Škoda's tradition of sporty models that began in 2000 with the Octavia vRS. Over time, this lineup expanded to include various models like the Fabia vRS and Kodiaq vRS. In recent years, Škoda introduced electric variants like the Enyaq Coupé vRS in 2022.
By 2025, over 21,000 units of the Enyaq vRS family had been sold worldwide. These vehicles have received accolades such as "Fleet Electric Vehicle of the Year" in 2023 and "Golden Steering Wheel" in 2022.
Škoda Auto aims to be among Europe's top five best-selling brands by 2030 through its Next Level Strategy. With an attractive lineup including entry-level segments and additional e-models, it leverages growth markets like India and North Africa effectively.
