Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Produces 5 Lakh Engines At Chakan Plant
Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited (SAVWIPL) has achieved a significant milestone by producing 500,000 engines at its Chakan plant in Pune. This accomplishment highlights the company's dedication to localisation, innovation, and sustainable manufacturing, aligning with the Make in India initiative. The milestone also underscores India's increasing importance as a manufacturing and export hub for the Volkswagen Group.
The engines produced at this facility include the 1.0-litre TSI and 1.5-litre TSI models. These power a variety of vehicles for both domestic and international markets. Equipped with advanced technologies like Active Cylinder Technology (ACT), these engines offer improved fuel efficiency and reduced emissions, supporting the company's vision for sustainable mobility.
