Skoda Auto India Sets New Record: 7,422 Units Sold In March 2025

Skoda Auto India has achieved a significant milestone by selling 7,422 units in March 2025, marking its highest monthly sales ever. This achievement coincides with the company's 25th anniversary in India and its 130th globally. The surge in sales is largely attributed to the popularity of the newly launched Kylaq SUV, alongside consistent performance from the Slavia sedan and Kushaq SUV.

The Kylaq, Skoda's first sub-4 metre SUV, has played a pivotal role in this success. Launched officially in January 2025 after being unveiled in November 2024, it has already garnered over 15,000 bookings. Skoda plans to ramp up production swiftly to meet all pending orders by the end of May.

Kylaq: A Key Driver of Growth

Petr Janeba, Brand Director of Skoda Auto India, remarked on this achievement: "With the launch of the all-new Kylaq, we committed to a 'New Era' in our India journey. The 7,422 cars we sold in March 2025 is testament to this journey taking shape, and is also the result of sustained planning, efforts and a strategy aimed at democratising European technology on Indian roads." He added that customer feedback highlights Kylaq's exceptional price-value proposition.

The Kylaq is built on the MQB-A0-IN platform shared with Kushaq and Slavia models. It recently earned a 5-star safety rating under Bharat NCAP for both adult and child occupant safety. This makes it the third Skoda vehicle in India to achieve top scores for safety.

Expanding Reach and Enhancing Customer Experience

In celebration of its silver jubilee year, Skoda Auto India has been enhancing ownership experiences through initiatives like digital showrooms and online-only sales. They have introduced services such as Skoda Service Cam, Anytime Warranty, and Supercare maintenance plans to ensure transparent customer service. Additionally, new customers receive a complimentary one-year Supercare package.

To support its growth trajectory, Skoda Auto India has expanded its dealer network from 120 touchpoints in 2021 to over 280 currently. The company aims to reach 350 by the end of 2025. This expansion into Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities is complemented by attractive maintenance offerings.

Future Prospects

Skoda's impressive performance in March sets a promising tone for the rest of its jubilee year. With an ongoing focus on value, safety, and customer satisfaction, Skoda is well-positioned to strengthen its presence further within India's competitive automotive market.
