Skoda Auto Launches Elroq Respectline To Celebrate Diversity And Heritage During European Diversity Month
Škoda Auto has introduced the Elroq Respectline, a concept car that embodies the company's dedication to respect, diversity, and inclusion. This special edition vehicle highlights Škoda's commitment to equality and human rights. The design prominently features the "háček" symbol from the Škoda name, honouring its Czech heritage and 130-year legacy. The Elroq Respectline will debut during European Diversity Month with events in Mladá Boleslav and Hamburg.
The Elroq Respectline is a vibrant tribute to diversity and Škoda's rich Czech roots. Its exterior showcases a bold design featuring the stylised "háček," inspired by the diacritical mark in the Czech letter "Š." This emblem is integrated throughout the car's design, reflecting Škoda's origins since 1895. The Tech-Deck Face grille is enhanced with animated LED rainbow lighting, symbolising societal diversity and individual value.
The interior of the Elroq Respectline continues its message of individuality and inclusivity. It uses recycled materials from the Elroq model, combined with progressive rainbow embroidery on the seats, distinctive embossing details, and colourful décor elements. This expressive theme demonstrates how diverse identities can unite to create positive energy and mutual respect.
Škoda Auto is actively participating in European Diversity Month for the fifth year. Alongside unveiling the Elroq Respectline, they are hosting internal initiatives like lectures and workshops throughout May. These activities aim to raise awareness among employees about diversity and inclusion, which are key components of Škoda's corporate culture.
Maren Gräf, Škoda Auto Board Member for People & Culture, stated: "Diversity, equity, inclusion, and mutual understanding are cornerstones of Škoda’s corporate culture. With the new Elroq Respectline, we are introducing a Škoda brand ambassador that embodies these values." She emphasised their goal of being a role model in creating a safe workplace.
The Elroq Respectline will make its public debut at two significant events this week: on 9 May at the Best Cars 2025 awards in Hamburg and on 10 May at Škoda’s music festival in Mladá Boleslav. Throughout summer, it will appear at various cultural events like Prague Pride and Tour de France to promote diversity across Europe.
