SEAT S.A. Achieves Revenue Growth Of 2.4% In Q1 2025 Driven By Strong CUPRA Sales
SEAT S.A. reported a 5.9% increase in vehicle deliveries, reaching 146,700 units. Electrified vehicles saw a remarkable growth of 95.3%, totalling 37,700 cars. However, the company's operating profit fell to 5 million euros due to factors like sales mix changes and EU tariffs. Global competition also intensified, affecting profits.
CUPRA achieved its best first quarter ever, delivering 78,300 vehicles from January to March 2025. This success was driven by positive market responses to new model launches. The brand's electric models accounted for 23.7% of sales, doubling last year's percentage. The CUPRA Formentor led sales with 26,500 units.

SEAT S.A.'s revenue rose to 3.895 billion euros in Q1 2025, marking a 2.4% increase from the previous year. This growth was largely attributed to the success of newly launched CUPRA models. Despite this revenue boost, operating profit dropped by 221 million euros compared to Q1 2024.
The company faced challenges due to European import duties on the CUPRA Tavascan and increased global competition in electric vehicle markets. Markus Haupt, Interim CEO of SEAT and CUPRA, stated that they are working with the European Commission to resolve these issues.
Patrik Andreas Mayer, Executive Vice-President for Finance and IT at SEAT S.A., emphasised the need for flexibility and agility in a competitive landscape. He highlighted their focus on improving margin quality for electrified vehicles while advancing cost control programmes.

The beginning of 2025 confirmed anticipated challenges due to market competitiveness and external factors like import duties on the CUPRA Tavascan impacting performance directly.
Despite these hurdles, SEAT S.A remains confident about its strategy leveraging CUPRA’s comprehensive lineup along with an electrified portfolio leading towards a new era of mobility without compromising sustainability or profitability goals set forth strategically by them earlier on this journey together as one unified team working tirelessly towards achieving shared objectives collectively over time ahead!
