This initiative mirrors the Global NCAP standards and aims to guide consumers towards safer vehicle choices. So far, Bharat NCAP has evaluated 20 cars, with SUVs from Indian manufacturers leading in safety ratings.
Mahindra Thar Roxx - 31.09/32
The Mahindra Thar Roxx SUV received a 5-star rating in November 2024. It scored 31.09 out of 32 for adult occupant protection (AOP). Standard features include six airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). Higher trims like AX5L and AX7L also offer an ADAS suite.

Tata Punch EV - 31.46/32

The Mahindra XEV 9e also earned a full score of 32/32 in AOP during its Bharat NCAP crash test alongside the BE 6. This electric coupe SUV offers comprehensive safety features like six airbags and rear disc brakes from its base Pack One trim.

Tata Harrier EV - 32/32
Tata's Harrier EV stands out with its perfect AOP score of 32/32, earning a 5-star rating in June 2025. As Tata's latest electric offering, it includes six airbags and ISOFIX child seat anchors as standard across all variants.
