Rolls-Royce Phantom Celebrates 100 Years Of Luxury And Influence In Automotive History

Throughout 2025, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is commemorating the 100th anniversary of its renowned Phantom model. To celebrate this milestone, each Phantom crafted at the Goodwood facility will feature a unique centenary chassis plaque. Additionally, Rolls-Royce plans various activities, including special Bespoke commissions and participation in significant events, to honour the Phantom's legacy in music, film, and art.

The year began with "100 Years of Perfection" on 14 January, showcasing the evolution of the eight Phantom versions and their technological advancements over a century. The following day, the "Phantom Dragon," a one-of-a-kind Phantom Extended celebrating the Year of the Dragon, was unveiled. This model offers a modern take on the ancient Chinese legend of two dragons with a pearl.

Phantom Marks 100 Years of Luxury

On 2 April, Rolls-Royce introduced the "Phantom Cherry Blossom," another unique Phantom Extended commission inspired by Sakura blooms and a Japanese client's cherished memories of this natural wonder. The centenary celebrations continued on 2 May with "Phantom: A Century of Power & Influence," exploring the model's cultural impact since its debut in 1925.

In June, Rolls-Royce delved into the Phantom's connections with music and art. The brand examined how famous musicians have embraced the Phantom and how it has influenced and been influenced by art. These explorations highlight the deep cultural ties that have shaped the Phantom's identity over time.

The Goodwood Festival of Speed took place from 10 to 13 July, featuring special Phantoms to mark this historic occasion. In August, Rolls-Royce focused on "Phantom & Bespoke," highlighting extraordinary commissions that showcase the Phantom as an ultimate canvas for personal expression over its century-long history.

Upcoming Celebrations

The Goodwood Revival is scheduled for 12-14 September, promising more exciting announcements as the year progresses. These events underscore Rolls-Royce's commitment to celebrating its heritage while looking forward to future innovations.
