RML Group Launches P39 Hypercar Prototype With Exceptional Performance At Supercar Fest 2025

RML Group recently unveiled its P39 hypercar prototype at Supercar Fest 2025, leaving spectators and customers in awe with its performance. The event, held annually at Sywell Aerodrome near Northampton, focuses on top speed and acceleration. This marked the first public appearance of the limited-edition P39, a car that combines road usability with track capabilities.

The P39 is built on the Porsche 992.1 Turbo S platform but has been transformed into a hypercar. It features a carbon fibre body with active aero devices that enhance its performance. The rear wing adjusts for different modes, increasing downforce by 24% in Track mode. A Drag-Reduction System (DRS) reduces drag by 23% for higher speeds.

The car's aerodynamics are further enhanced by an extending front splitter and airflow management systems. These improvements increase overall downforce from 1,432N to over 6,500N at 150 mph in Track mode. RML engineers have also reimagined the chassis with new suspension links and bespoke dampers to maintain ride quality while improving grip.

Powertrain Capabilities

Under the hood, the P39 boasts a twin-turbo flat-six engine developed with Litchfield Motors. It delivers 920 horsepower and 705 lb-ft of torque in Sport/Sport+ mode. Two additional presets offer different power levels for varying conditions: 600 hp for Wet mode and 750 hp for Normal mode.

Leadership Insights

Michael Mallock, responsible for RML's Bespoke Division, stated: "From the outset we set ourselves the challenge of building a car which could switch personalities at the touch of a button – serene on the road, savage on the circuit." Paul Dickinson, CEO of RML Group, added: "P39 is a rolling demonstration of what RML’s Engineering Division can achieve."

Future Appearances and Availability

The P39 will be showcased at upcoming events like the Silverstone Festival from August 22-24. Only 39 units will be produced, with UK deliveries expected in late summer 2025 after final testing. Sales agents have been appointed in both the US and Europe to manage distribution and aftercare services.

RML Group was founded in 1984 by Ray Mallock and has since delivered championship-winning cars and advanced technology programmes. Operating from Wellingborough, they provide design and manufacturing services under their guiding principle of Engineering Excellence.

Downforce figures are based on a speed of 150 mph and may vary depending on ride-height configuration. Specifications are subject to change pending final homologation.
