Renault Kwid, Triber and Kiger To Get Costlier Ahead of Duster Launch
Renault India has announced a price increase across its model range, confirming that prices of the Kwid, Triber and Kiger will be revised upward from January 2026 as part of a planned adjustment to manage rising costs.
The French carmaker stated that the price hike will be up to 2 per cent and will apply across all variants of its current lineup sold in India, though Renault has not disclosed a detailed model-wise or variant-wise breakup of the increase.

The decision to revise prices by Renault has been taken to offset increasing input costs and macroeconomic pressures, which continue to impact manufacturing and operational expenses across the automotive industry. The automaker confirmed that prices prevailing until the end of December 2025 will remain applicable to customers who complete purchases before the revision takes effect, subject to dealer invoicing timelines and delivery conditions.
Renault's current portfolio in India comprises three models, including the Kwid entry-level hatchback that ranges between ₹4.29 lakh and ₹5.99 lakh, the recently revised Triber compact 7-seater MPV that is priced between ₹5.76 lakh and ₹8.59 lakh, and the Kiger sub-four-metre SUV, which costs between ₹5.76 lakh and 10.33 lakh (all prices mentioned are ex-showroom).
All three offerings come with either naturally aspirated or turbocharged versions of the French firm's 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine that are paired with manual, AMT or CVT automatic gearbox options. Renault also gives customers the option to fit an approved CNG retrofit kit at the dealership level.
The French carmaker, though, is not resting on its laurels and is set to expand its Indian portfolio with the launch of the new Duster C-SUV, which returns to our shores after an absence of four years. The new Duster will rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Tata Sierra, Maruti Suzuki Victoris, Grand Vitara and the new Kia Seltos, among others.
