Renault Kwid Sales Increase By 18.48% In February 2025: CNG Effect?
The Renault Kwid remains a favourite among hatchback enthusiasts in India. February 2025 saw Renault selling 698 units of the Kwid, marking an 18.48% increase from January's 569 units. This compact car is particularly appealing to middle-class families due to its affordability and features.
The Renault Kwid is priced competitively, with its base model starting at Rs. 4.70 lakhs, while the top variant costs Rs. 6.45 lakhs, both prices being ex-showroom. This pricing strategy makes it an attractive option for budget-conscious buyers looking for value.

Recently, Renault introduced a CNG kit for the Kwid, specifically for models with a naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with a manual gearbox. This CNG kit has received approval from Renault and is currently available in select states like Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Delhi, and Haryana.
The Renault Kwid's 1.0-litre petrol engine delivers up to 68 PS of power and 91 Nm of torque with a 5-speed manual gearbox. However, installing the CNG kit may slightly reduce these figures. Despite this, the car remains a practical choice for urban driving.
CNG Kit Availability and Warranty
Efforts are ongoing to expand the availability of the CNG kit to more states across India in the coming months. Buyers can also benefit from a 3-year warranty on these kits, providing added peace of mind.
DriveSpark Thinks
The Renault Kwid is an excellent alternative to other popular models like the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 and Maruti Suzuki S-Presso in India. Its affordability and features make it a strong contender in the hatchback segment.
