Renault Boreal Exterior Design

The Renault Boreal draws inspiration from the firm's Niagara concept and the Symbioz SUV for its exterior design. Featuring a front design reminiscent of the Renault Niagara concept, the Boreal showcases a lengthy hood and scattered LED lights on the front bumper, mirroring the Niagra concept.

The Boreal also flaunts a new 2D diamond-shaped backlit Renault logo adorned with triangular elements, which are reflected across the vehicle's design. The Boreal's side profile presents a resemblance to a stretched Duster, highlighted by bulky body cladding and 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.

The Boreal comes equipped with a 1.3-litre turbocharged engine, available in both petrol and flex-fuel versions, depending on the market. This engine, developed in collaboration with Mercedes, pairs with a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The flex-fuel variant delivers an impressive 163hp and 270Nm of torque, marking it as the most potent option, whereas the petrol version outputs are between 138hp and 156hp with 240Nm of torque. DriveSpark Thinks!

The Renault Boreal stands as a testament to the brand's commitment to expanding its offerings beyond the demands of Europe. We do hope that Renault does end up bringing the Boreal (if possible in its 7-seater avatar) to India as it could prove to be a potent rival to the like of the Alcazar, Safari and the XUV700.
