Renault 4 E-Tech Electric Launches At £26,995 OTR With Impressive Features And Range
The Renault 4 E-Tech electric, a modern take on the classic model, starts at £26,995 OTR. Orders open on 1st July for R-Pass holders and 15th July for everyone else. The R Pass, priced at £150, allows early purchase and includes three years of free servicing through Mobilize Financial Services.
Renault has infused the new model with design elements reminiscent of the original Renault 4. The front grille is a single illuminated piece, while the rear lights have been updated with modern lines. Other nostalgic touches include bonnet lines extending to the grille and sculpted door designs.
The Renault 4 E-Tech electric offers three trims: evolution, techno, and iconic. The latter two will feature an optional "plein sud" canvas roof. This model maintains its predecessor's practicality with increased ground clearance and optimised suspension for comfort.
Inside, the Renault 4 E-Tech electric boasts a spacious cabin due to its extended wheelbase of 2.62m. Rear passengers enjoy ample knee room of 16.4cm and headroom of 85.3cm. The boot offers 420 litres of space, expandable to 1,405 litres with folded seats.
A 52 kWh battery powers a 150 hp motor, providing up to 247 miles of range. Charging options include up to 11kW AC and 100kW DC, allowing an 80% charge in just half an hour. The One Pedal function enhances regenerative braking efficiency.
The vehicle's OpenR Link system supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay via a central touchscreen. Techno and iconic models add Google services like Maps with charging-optimised routes and various apps from Google Play.
Advanced Safety Features
Safety features are comprehensive with up to 26 advanced driver assistance systems available. These include adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go, lane centring assist, blind spot monitoring, and hands-free parking.
The Renault 4 E-Tech electric is available in six colours including Hauts-de-France Green, honouring Île-de-France Blue from the '60s. All models come standard with 18-inch diamond cut alloy wheels.
Technical Specifications
The Renault 4 E-Tech electric accelerates from 0-62mph in just over eight seconds and reaches a top speed of 93 mph. It features power-assisted steering with a turning circle of just over ten metres for easy manoeuvrability.
