Ram 1500 Achieves Full-Size Pickup Truck Of Texas Award For Seventh Consecutive Year
Ram has achieved significant recognition at the Texas Truck Rodeo, organised by the Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA). The Ram 1500 secured the Full-size Pickup Truck of Texas award for the seventh year in a row and was also named Luxury Pickup Truck of Texas for the ninth consecutive year. Additionally, the Ram Heavy Duty Rebel was honoured as the Heavy Duty Pickup Truck of Texas, marking an eighth consecutive win in this category.
The Texas Auto Writers Association, established in 1987, is a respected automotive media organisation. It aims to ensure quality and accuracy in automotive journalism. TAWA members evaluated vehicles based on various criteria, including styling, capability, utility, value, and performance. This comprehensive assessment involved 262 drives on both on-road and off-road routes.
Cory Fourniquet, TAWA president, remarked on Ram's success: "Ram trucks delivered outstanding performance once again this year, securing multiple consecutive awards, including the Full-Size Pickup Truck of Texas." He highlighted that winning in Texas is particularly significant as it is known as the truck capital of the U.S.
In total, Ram received four prestigious awards at the event. These accolades included Full-Size Pickup Truck for the 2025 Ram 1500 and Luxury Pickup Truck for the 2025 Ram 1500 Tungsten. The 2024 Ram Heavy Duty Rebel was recognised as the best Heavy Duty Truck. Furthermore, the Ram 3.0L Hurricane High Output Straight-Six Turbo engine won Best Powertrain.
