Acura ARX-06 Docuseries 'Racing the Dream' Debuts

Founded in 1993 as Honda Performance Development (HPD), Honda Racing Corporation USA has a long history of supporting Honda Racing and Acura Motorsports customers. In January 2024, HPD became HRC US, merging with HRC Japan to enhance its motorsports capabilities. HRC US leads all high-performance racing programs for Honda and Acura in North America.

HRC US focuses on designing and developing powertrains, chassis, electronics, and performance parts. They also offer technical and race support to both amateur and professional racers. Their involvement spans from karting to top-tier professional racing events.

Since its inception in 1986, Acura Motorsports has been a key part of the brand's identity in North America. The program boasts numerous GT and prototype victories across various championships, including Camel Lights and IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. In recent years, Acura achieved notable success by winning multiple IMSA championships.

In 2023, Acura introduced the electrified ARX-06 prototype sports car in IMSA competition. This debut was marked by a victory at the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona, securing their third consecutive win at this prestigious event.

Future Prospects for Acura Racing

Looking ahead to 2025, the electrified Acura ARX-06 will return with both #60 and #93 cars under Acura Meyer Shank Racing's management. For the first time, Honda Racing USA will handle strategy and race engineering for the #93 car as they aim for their first championship title in this new era of sports car racing.

"Racing is all about people and building a strong team," said David Salters, President of Honda Racing Corporation USA. "We engage in this sport to develop our people, technology, and tools." He expressed excitement about sharing this journey with fans through "Racing the Dream."

The series not only showcases HRC US's new role but also highlights the entire team's performance throughout the IMSA season. Fans can follow along on various social media platforms like Instagram and Twitter for updates on their journey.
