Porsche And RM Sotheby’s Collaborate To Auction Rare 911 S/T For American Red Cross Wildfire Relief
Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (PCNA) is auctioning a unique 911 S/T in collaboration with RM Sotheby’s. The proceeds will support the American Red Cross, aiding those affected by the California wildfires. This car is number 1,919 of 1,963 produced to celebrate the Porsche 911's 60th anniversary. It is the last unassigned model in the U.S., making it a rare opportunity for collectors.
The auction will be conducted through RM Sotheby’s Online Only platform. Actor Orlando Bloom has joined efforts to raise awareness for this cause. RM Sotheby’s is waiving its fees to ensure maximum funds reach the American Red Cross. Timo Resch, President and CEO of PCNA, stated, "The work of the American Red Cross has become even more important in the past weeks, during the devastation of many parts of Los Angeles caused by wildfires."
The winning bidder will receive a special Porsche Design timepiece exclusive to 911 S/T owners. This Swiss-made watch features a titanium case and embodies the lightweight design philosophy of the car. Stefan Buescher, CEO of Porsche Lifestyle Group, remarked on its uniqueness: "The engraved chassis number on the case back will make this timepiece a true one-of-a-kind collector’s item."
Additionally, an owner’s manual pouch signed by Andreas Preuninger accompanies the car. The vehicle has been meticulously prepared in Europe, covering 932 miles or 1,500 kilometers as part of its run-in process. It remains unregistered and ready for use.
The 911 S/T boasts a Shore Blue Metallic paint exclusive to its Heritage Design Package. Its wheels are finished in Ceramica, another unique feature for this variant. The car is powered by a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine producing 518 hp paired with a six-speed manual gearbox.
Inside, Full Bucket Seats with Classic Cognac cloth centers and black pinstripes pay homage to Porsche's heritage. The interior also includes two-tone leather trim and other elements from Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur.
