Porsche Experience Center Atlanta Launches Unique Exhibit Showcasing Rare Cars And Their Stories
The Porsche Experience Center Atlanta (PECATL) has unveiled a new exhibit in its Heritage Gallery, showcasing some of the rarest Porsche models. This exhibition, part of the Center's 10th anniversary celebrations, is titled "The Why?" and explores what drives the passion of Porsche's most dedicated fans and owners. Michelle Rainey, Director of Porsche Experience Centers, stated, "The exhibit isn’t only about the cars; it’s about the people behind them and the special meanings those cars hold for them."
This unique collection features both personal builds and iconic race cars. Among these are the 1994 911 Turbo S Flachbau and the 1953 356 Pre-A, which highlight Porsche's rich history spanning over seven decades. The display includes detailed stories about each car. Visitors can see rare models like the 1994 911 Turbo S "Flachbau," one of just 76 ever made.
The exhibit also features the 2018 911 GT2 RS MR by Manthey Racing, known for its enhanced performance and aerodynamics. Another highlight is the 2023 RSR-19 "Rexy," a fan-favorite race car with a T-Rex-inspired design that competed with AO Racing in 2023. Additionally, the Lowenbrau 962-103 is showcased as a significant piece of Porsche's racing legacy.
"The Why?" exhibit at PECATL is accessible to guests with existing reservations for driving experiences or dining at Restaurant 356. Those without prior bookings can visit by purchasing a tour or general admission ticket through PorscheDriving.com/Atlanta. This collection will remain on display until July when new vehicles will be introduced to continue through 2025.
