Porsche's Flagship SUV Goes Electric - Cayenne Electric Revealed With Up To 1,156PS & 642km Range

German luxury carmaker Porsche has taken the wraps off its new all-electric Cayenne, delivering performance figures that match its 911 Turbo supercar and signalling the brand's full-scale shift toward electric mobility.

The new Cayenne Electric high-performance "Turbo Electric" variant packs up to 857 PS in normal driving mode (1,156 PS in launch control mode) and 1,500 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint in 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 260 km/h.

The base electric Cayenne model produces around 442 PS (325 kW) and 835 Nm of peak torque, allowing a 0-100 km/h time of around 4.8 seconds. The base Cayenne delivers a range of up to 642km on a single charge..

At the heart of the new Cayenne Electric lies a 113kWh battery pack built on an 800-volt electric architecture that supports ultra-fast DC charging at speeds up to 400kW, enabling a 10-80% recharge in about 16 minutes.

Porsche claims that the new Cayenne Electric utilises advanced thermal management and recuperation systems capable of achieving up to 600 kW of energy recovery, which helps deliver sustained high power output.

The new Porsche Cayenne electric features rear-axle steering to reduce turning radius, adaptive air suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management, and an aero-optimised body with a drag coefficient of 0.25, thanks to active aero features such as extendable rear aeroblades and air curtains in the front bumper.

The Cayenne Electric measures 4,985 mm in length, 1,980 mm in width and 1,674 mm in height, making it 55 mm longer than the combustion-engined model. The most significant change is the wheelbase, which now stretches to 3,023 mm, an increase of nearly 13 cm that delivers noticeably more rear legroom and passenger comfort.

Inside the cabin, the Cayenne Electric introduces Porsche's largest screen real estate yet, with a curved central display, optional passenger-side touchscreen and augmented-reality head-up display that projects information over an 87-inch visual field ahead of the driver. Other highlights include Wireless inductive charging, AC ports on both sides and optional sport seats.

The rear seat system is now electrically adjustable as standard and can be set between comfort-focused and cargo-oriented positions. Luggage capacity ranges from 781 to 1,588 litres, supported by an additional 90-litre storage compartment at the front. Depending on the equipment package, the Cayenne Electric can tow loads of up to 3.5 tonnes.
