Polestar Partners With Volvo Cars For Polestar 7 Manufacturing In Kosice, Slovakia Ahead Of 2028 Launch

Polestar has chosen Volvo Cars as its partner for developing and manufacturing the Polestar 7. This collaboration will utilise group architectures to access cutting-edge technologies cost-effectively. The Polestar 7 is slated for launch in 2028.

Polestar is expanding its manufacturing footprint into Europe by signing a memorandum with Volvo Cars. The Polestar 7 will be produced in Kosice, Slovakia, ahead of its planned release in 2028. This move aligns with Polestar's strategy to leverage Geely Holding Group's architectures.

Polestar 7 Manufacturing in Slovakia Confirmed

The Polestar 7 will incorporate technology from Volvo Cars, benefiting from shared components and advanced battery technology. It will also feature next-generation e-motors developed in-house. These adaptations aim to deliver the distinctive driving experience that Polestar is known for.

The construction of the Volvo Cars factory in Kosice began in 2023. This location offers excellent logistical connections to European markets and has a well-established supplier base.
