Petersen Automotive Museum Provides Free Admission For Local Students Amid School Closures
In response to the devastating fires in Southern California, the Petersen Automotive Museum is offering free entry to students on Friday, January 10. This initiative aims to provide a break for families affected by school closures in districts such as Los Angeles, Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena, Santa Monica, and Malibu Unified.
The museum's Executive Director, Terry L. Karges, expressed sympathy for those impacted by the fires. "Our hearts go out to everyone who has been impacted by the fires. We are incredibly grateful for our amazing Los Angeles community, especially first responders and those on the frontlines, and hope the opportunity to visit the museum brings a spot of brightness to families during a dark time," he stated.
Students can enjoy free access from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on January 10 with a student ID or proof of local residency. Families with school-aged children are also eligible for this offer. The museum features numerous exhibits including "Best in Low," showcasing vibrant lowriders, and "Cars are Beautiful," an interactive display by LA artist Mr Brainwash.
The museum offers a variety of attractions suitable for all ages. Visitors can explore hundreds of cars on display and engage with the kid-friendly Discovery Center. Additionally, the Forza Motorsport Racing Experience provides an exciting activity for racing enthusiasts.
General admission costs $21 for adults and $19 for seniors aged 62 and above. Children under four years old can enter without charge. Paid parking is available on-site for visitors' convenience.
