Parkopedia And ParkMobile To Launch New EMobility Service Provider For EV Drivers In North America
ParkMobile is set to launch a new eMobility Service Provider (eMSP) in North America by late 2025. This service will cater to both individual and fleet drivers, enhancing ParkMobile's existing parking services. The initiative aims to provide a seamless experience for electric vehicle (EV) drivers across the continent.
The new eMSP will utilise Parkopedia's expertise in EV data and in-car payments, alongside ParkMobile's extensive network and parking integrations. Both brands are now part of the EasyPark Group, following its acquisition of Parkopedia. This collaboration will enable ParkMobile to offer an integrated EV charging and payment solution through in-vehicle systems and the ParkMobile app.

ParkMobile’s platform, with its 65 million users, will facilitate closer partnerships with Charge Point Operators (CPOs) and fleet providers in North America. This integration aims to deliver a smooth EV charging experience, allowing users to manage parking and charging through a single account. As EV adoption grows globally, such unified solutions are increasingly important.
The new service promises significant benefits for consumers. It allows them to pay for parking and charging through one system, simplifying their experience. Additionally, it helps drivers locate the most affordable charging sessions using multi-contract plug-and-charge capabilities. Research indicates that 97% of US participants value accessing multiple in-car payment services on one platform.
Fleet managers will also gain from this new solution as it integrates seamlessly into existing fleet management systems. This integration reduces operational costs through intelligent route optimisation and improved vehicle utilisation. By accessing the cheapest charging options across multiple MSPs and CPOs, fleets can better control costs while simplifying invoice management by combining parking and charging expenses.
Moreover, fleet drivers benefit from reduced time spent finding public chargers due to accurate real-time availability data. Accessing this functionality via the vehicle's head unit or mobile devices enhances convenience further.
