Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition Vs Standard Magnite: Differences Explained!
Nissan India has launched the Kuro Edition of the Magnite SUV, priced from Rs 8.31 lakh (ex-showroom). This new variant is based on the N-Connecta trim and arrives about a year after the Magnite's mid-life update in October 2024. While it retains the same mechanical setup, the Kuro Edition introduces several cosmetic enhancements and additional features as dealer-level accessories.
Design Differences
The Kuro Edition stands out with its all-black exterior, contrasting sharply with the regular Magnite. The grille surround is finished in gloss black instead of chrome, and the LED headlamps have a smoked treatment for a more aggressive look. The front skid plate, usually silver, is black on this edition. Blacked-out 16-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, and window beltline continue the dark theme along the sides.

A 'Kuro' badge is placed below the outside rearview mirrors on both sides. At the rear, changes are minimal; only the lower skid plate gets a black finish. The standard badging layout remains unchanged, including 'Magnite', 'Turbo', and 'CVT' badges depending on the variant.
Interior
Inside, the Kuro Edition adopts a full black theme called 'Midnight Black’. This includes dashboard, seat upholstery, roof liner, and door pads. Piano black inserts enhance areas like AC vents and centre console. In contrast, the standard Magnite features a dual-tone black-and-tan interior for a more traditional look.

Features
The Kuro Edition retains features from the N-Connecta trim such as an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch digital driver's display, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, and push-button start/stop. It adds a wireless phone charger and dashcam as dealer-level fitments but lacks a reverse parking camera available in the regular N-Connecta trim.
Specifications
No mechanical changes differentiate the Kuro Edition from the regular Magnite. Both offer two engine options: a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 72PS and 96Nm of torque with either a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox; and a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine delivering 100PS and up to 160Nm of torque paired with either a 5-speed manual or CVT gearbox.
Pricing Details
The Nissan Magnite Kuro Edition is priced between Rs 8.31 lakh to Rs 10.87 lakh (ex-showroom) across India based on powertrain and transmission choice. Bookings are open for Rs 11,000 token amount. Compared to the regular N-Connecta trim, there's a slight premium for its cosmetic upgrades and additional dealer-level features.
