Nissan Magnite AMT Now Offered With Dealer-Fitted CNG Kit - Prices Start At ₹6.89 Lakh
Nissan India has launched a dealer-fitted CNG kit for the Magnite AMT (EZ-Shift) lineup, priced at ₹71,999 over the respective petrol variant. The retrofit option is now available for all manual and AMT versions powered by the 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, and rollout has begun across 13 states.
The introduction makes the Magnite one of the few compact SUVs in India offering an automatic transmission paired with a CNG option. Nissan has confirmed that the CNG setup is factory-approved and installed exclusively at authorised dealerships, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards without third-party involvement.

With the launch of the Magnite AMT with the dealer-fitted CNG kit, the Magnite CNG is now offered in 11 variant levels...
| CNG Variants | MT | AMT |
|---|---|---|
| Visia | ₹6.34 lakh | ₹6.89 lakh |
| Visia+ | ₹6.79 lakh | - |
| Acenta | ₹7.39 lakh | ₹7.89 lakh |
| N-Connecta | ₹8.01 lakh | ₹8.51 lakh |
| Tekna | ₹8.88 lakh | ₹9.38 lakh |
| Tekna+ | ₹9.20 lakh | ₹9.70 lakh |
For safety and convenience, the fuel filling point for the CNG system is now integrated into the existing fuel lid, offering cleaner packaging and better usability. The company has also announced a 3-year or 100,000 km warranty on the CNG kit, underlining its confidence in long-term reliability.
The Magnite's 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine remains mechanically unchanged for the CNG conversion. It continues to produce 72 PS and 96 Nm of torque, paired with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or Nissan's EZ-Shift 5-speed AMT transmission.
Other powertrain options remain unchanged. The compact SUV also continues with the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 100 PS and is offered with both a 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic transmission, catering to a wide range of urban and highway users.
On fuel efficiency, the naturally aspirated petrol engine delivers 19.4 km/l with the manual transmission and 19.7 km/l with the AMT. The turbo-petrol versions offer 19.9 km/l for the manual and 17.9 km/l with the CVT, depending on variant and driving conditions. CNG efficiency
All features from the standard Magnite lineup are retained for the CNG-equipped models. These features include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a semi-digital instrument cluster, a wireless phone charger, ambient lighting, and a six-speaker ARKAMYS-tuned sound system. The SUV also continues to offer 90 connected car features through the NissanConnect platform.
Safety equipment remains identical to the petrol versions, including six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), traction control, hill start assist, a 360-degree camera, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). Parking sensors and ISOFIX child seat mounts continue as standard across variants.
