Nissan Motor India Launches Hattrick Carnival With Benefits Up To ₹55,000

Nissan Motor India has announced a special promotion called the Hattrick Carnival, running from 1st to 30th April 2025. Customers can enjoy benefits of up to ₹55,000 and additional carnival perks worth ₹10,000. Furthermore, every purchase comes with a guaranteed gold coin. This initiative aims to attract more buyers and boost sales during this period.

In fiscal year 2024, Nissan Motor India achieved consolidated sales of over 99,000 units, reflecting a 35% increase from the previous year. Domestic sales exceeded 28,000 units, while exports reached a record high of over 71,000 units. The company's export footprint expanded significantly from 20 to more than 65 international markets.

Nissan Magnite's Role in Sales Growth

The Nissan Magnite has been instrumental in driving sales growth for the company. Launched in October 2024, this B-SUV has significantly boosted both domestic sales and exports. By August 2024, cumulative sales of the Magnite had reached 150,000 units. Additionally, it achieved an export milestone with 50,000 units shipped to right-hand-drive and left-hand-drive markets.

Saudi Arabia emerged as the primary destination for the left-hand-drive variant of the Magnite. Through its 'One Car, One World' strategy, Nissan aims to strengthen its status as a leading global automotive exporter. The company's export activities have shown steady growth since fiscal year 2020.

Future Plans and Strategic Moves

Nissan plans to introduce two new models soon: a seven-seater B-MPV in FY25 and a five-seater C-SUV in FY26. The company is also expanding its dealership network to improve accessibility and customer service across India.

As part of its global restructuring initiative, Nissan is undertaking strategic changes in India. The company plans to sell its shares in the Chennai joint venture factory to Renault by mid-2025, pending regulatory approval. This move aims to streamline operations while maintaining commitment to the Indian market.

Competitive Landscape

The Nissan Magnite competes with models like Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue and Mahindra XUV300. It is available with two petrol engine options catering to diverse customer preferences.

Nissan's export activities have grown steadily from shipping 32,389 units in fiscal year 2020 to over 71,000 units in fiscal year 2024. This expansion solidifies India's position as a vital production and export hub within Nissan's global operations.
