Nissan Group Reports Significant Growth In U.S. Fourth Quarter Sales For 2024
Nissan Group reported a significant rise in U.S. sales for the fourth quarter of 2024, reaching 222,484 units, marking a 10.3% increase compared to the previous year. This growth was driven by strong performances across various models, including the Kicks, Versa, and Pathfinder. For the entire year of 2024, Nissan's U.S. sales totaled 924,008 units, reflecting a 2.8% increase from the prior year.
The Nissan Division saw notable achievements in the fourth quarter of 2024. The compact crossover Kicks experienced a remarkable 51.1% increase in sales compared to the same period last year, setting records each month of the quarter. The Versa sedan also performed exceptionally well with a 91% rise in sales year-over-year during this period.

Sales figures for other models were equally impressive. The three-row Pathfinder crossover saw a 44.2% increase in sales compared to last year’s fourth quarter. Meanwhile, the Sentra sedan's sales rose by 43.7%, and the Ariya electric crossover recorded a 30.2% increase over the same timeframe.
Throughout 2024, several Nissan models achieved significant sales growth. The Ariya electric crossover had its best year since launching in 2022, with a 47% increase in annual sales. The Versa sedan's yearly sales surged by 71.7%, while the Sentra saw a rise of 39.8%. Additionally, Frontier's annual sales climbed by 17.2%, and Pathfinder's increased by 12.8%.
In contrast to these successes, some models faced declines in their annual performance. The Altima experienced an 11% drop in yearly sales, while Maxima's numbers fell drastically by 90.2%. Similarly, Titan and Armada saw decreases of 23.6% and 27.9%, respectively.
INFINITI Sales Overview
INFINITI's total U.S. sales for the fourth quarter of 2024 slightly decreased by 2.3%, totaling 15,503 units compared to last year's figures for the same period. For the entire calendar year of 2024, INFINITI sold 58,070 units in the U.S., marking a decline of 10.2% from the previous year.
Among INFINITI models, some showed positive trends despite overall declines. The Q50 model saw a quarterly increase of 9.4%, while QX50 improved its annual performance by 7.9%. However, other models like Q60 and QX80 faced significant drops in both quarterly and yearly sales figures.
Nissan Group Production Insights
Nissan North America calculates variances based on straight-percentage changes without adjusting for selling days differences between years; there were two more selling days in both Q4 and CY2024 than their respective periods in CY2023.
North American production contributed significantly to Nissan’s success with an overall production increase of 11.5% during Q4 compared to last year’s numbers within this region alone—totaling up at approximately three-quarters (175k) out of all vehicles sold domestically during these months alone!
The arrival of new models like Armada and Murano is anticipated as Nissan enters another promising year ahead! These additions are expected at dealerships nationwide soon enough—further bolstering already strong lineups across various segments offered under their brand umbrella today!
