Nissan Gravite Is The Name Of New B-MPV - Launch In Jan 2026
The Nissan Gravite will be the name of Nissan India's upcoming compact multi-purpose vehicle, the company confirmed today (December 18, 2025). The Japanese automaker said the Gravite MPV is scheduled for launch in India in January 2026, and it is will to reach showrooms in March.
The Nissan Gravite is a part of a broader product expansion that follows the recent unveiling of the Tekton SUV. The company said it plans to introduce a third new model, a seven-seater SUV, in 2027 after the launches of the Gravite and Tekton.

The Nissan Gravite is a B-segment MPV aimed at expanding Nissan's presence across vehicle segments. Nissan said the Gravite will bring a fresh design language to the brand's Indian lineup, signalling a strategic shift in its product portfolio.
Design details released by Nissan show that Nissan Gravite adopts a fresh front fascia with a prominent grille bearing the Nissan badge and Gravite badging on the muscular bonnet and headlamps (with integrated LED DRLS) connected to each other by a chrome strip that run across the top of the grille.

At the rear, Nissan Gravite features Sleek tail lamp configuration connected to the Nissan badge by chrome accents. Gravite lettering is also seen on tailgate, underneath the space for the registration plate.
Interior details of Nissan Gravite remain undisclosed. There is a possibility the MPV will feature entirely new materials for the dashboard and cabin surfaces. The Nissan Gravite is expected to offer a three-row seating layout with flexible configurations including 5-, 6-, or 7-seat options, though the exact seating combinations have not been officially confirmed.
The Nissan Gravite is expected to be powered by a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 72 hp and 96 Nm. Transmission choices will include a 5-speed manual and an automated manual transmission, similar to the configuration in the Triber.
The Nissan Gravite launch aligns with the brand's strategy to broaden its model lineup and compete more aggressively in the small MPV segment. The launch timing in early 2026 aims to drive sales momentum ahead of the new launch of the five-seater Tekton, later in 2026 and the seven-seater SUV in 2027.
