Nissan Energy Marketplace Launches With Electrum To Enhance Home Energy Solutions For Customers
Nissan has partnered with Electrum to introduce the Nissan Energy Marketplace, a platform that connects customers with vetted contractors for home electrification solutions like EV chargers and solar panels. This initiative supports Nissan's commitment to sustainable energy and enhances the EV ownership experience.
Nissan has teamed up with Electrum to introduce the NISSAN ENERGY Marketplace. This platform serves as a comprehensive hub for customers to explore, buy, and set up home energy solutions like electric vehicle chargers, solar panels, and battery storage. The service also provides access to Electrum's Energy Advisors, who assist in comparing bids from a vetted network of contractors across the country.
Jonathan Miller, Director of EV Transformation at Nissan U.S., stated, "At Nissan, we're building more than electric vehicles — we're shaping a smarter energy future." He highlighted that the NISSAN ENERGY Marketplace is designed to improve the EV ownership experience by offering tools and support tailored to each household's specific needs.
The marketplace is part of Nissan's broader strategy to promote electric vehicle adoption and energy innovation. It aligns with the upcoming launch of the 2026 Nissan LEAF in the U.S. later this year. Through this initiative, customers can install charging and energy infrastructure confidently, supporting their vehicles while reducing their carbon footprint.
Max Aram, CEO of Electrum, expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with Nissan. "We are thrilled to bring our home electrification expertise to Nissan and support their EV owners on the path to a fully electrified lifestyle," he said. Aram emphasized that this partnership aims to simplify home electrification for Nissan customers, enabling them to harness clean energy effectively.
The NISSAN ENERGY Marketplace complements other initiatives like the NISSAN ENERGY Charge Network. This network offers seamless access for Nissan EV drivers to an extensive public charging infrastructure. However, it's important to note that these public charging networks are managed by independent companies with their own policies and terms.
Support for Sustainable Mobility
Nissan's commitment extends beyond just providing electric vehicles; it involves fostering a sustainable mobility ecosystem. The marketplace allows customers to identify local, state, and federal incentives while designing customized solutions that fit their homes and budgets. This approach not only supports individual needs but also contributes to broader environmental goals.
The availability of charging stations is not guaranteed as they are operated by third-party companies. These companies may change services or features without notice or liability to Nissan or its partners. Additionally, any costs related to connectivity with charger stations are not covered by Nissan.
This new platform marks another step in Nissan's journey towards sustainable mobility solutions. By integrating home energy products with vetted contractor services, it aims to make clean energy more accessible for its customers.
